Gerald Rothman, DDS
Gerald RothmanDr. Gerald Rothman opened the practice in 1978.  Prior to that, he earned his bachelors degree from Temple University.  He then received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dental Medicine.   He practiced general dentistry for the United States Air Force, caring for active military personnel and returning POWs.  Following his military service, he completed a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Brooklyn, NY. 

Dr. Rothman is committed to staying current on advanced technologies in dentistry and oral surgery.  He became board certified in 1978 and maintains an active participant in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He is also a member of the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  Dr. Rothman travels nationally and internationally to attend conferences related to Oral Surgery and Implantology.  His contributions to the community included being past president of the Alexandria Dental Society. He is currently the Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry at INOVA Alexandria Hospital. He has lectured in facial reconstruction with bone grafting and in dental implant reconstruction

Dr Rothman is well trained in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  He has a special interest in implant reconstructive surgery procedures that require bone grafting. 

Dr. Jeffrey Rothman

Jeffrey RothmanDr. Jeffrey Rothman joined the practice in 2003 after completing his four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In 1994, Dr. Rothman earned his Bachelors degree at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and subsequently obtained his dental degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Dental Surgery in 1999.  Dr. Rothman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dental School and was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

Dr. Jeffrey Rothman is a fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and became board certified in 2005.  He currently holds an active membership in the American Dental Association and is an officer in the Alexandria Dental Society.  Dr. Rothman holds active staff privileges at INOVA Alexandria Hospital.  He also enjoys participating locally and internationally in volunteer projects.   Dr. Rothman has volunteered at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic and at the Mission of Mercy project to provide dental care.  He has also traveled to the Dominican Republic to treat patients in rural villages. 

Dr. Rothman’s clinical interests include implants, bone grafting, maxillofacial trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, pathology and anesthesia.  He is committed to providing the best possible care to all his patients.

Dr. Rothman enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.  He loves hiking, camping, jogging and being in the outdoors.
